naval times news:  Vinay Singh is a distinguished research scholar of Computer Science and author of two computer books. The first book is on version control with the title “A Beginner’s Guide to Version Control Excellence’ under Dorrance publishers. He is among the top researcher in computer science technology.

Naval Times spoke to Vinay about his research articles, his books published and how the Augmented Age will affect our lives in the future. Read the interview here.

Question:
Can you introduce yourself and your primary focus of research?

I belong to foothills of himalaya in a small town. I came to USA 10 years back. this is a beautiful country full with patriotism, talent and opportunities. I am in the software industry and research for almost 15 years and previously spent two years as a lecturer in the IT department at DIT university, India. My area of expertise is “Version Control System” and my all research is focused on how to make a better and holistic migration from the traditional version control system to Nextgen distributed version control system.

Another book is titled “Introduction to Python programming” under Barnes and Noble publisher which is focused on how to develop programming skils for next-generation technologies like advanced version control systems like GIT or AI or Machine Learning.

I have been a keynote speaker and member of several conferences at the international level.

Question: During Aishwatya foundation award ceremony you spoke on the Emerging trends in IT– how do you envision this new phase affecting our lives and what would you recommend students study in response to these developments?

Technology is ever-changing and those wanting to remain at the helm of innovation must adapt. The consumer journey is charting a new course as customers and companies alike embrace emerging technologies. As tech trends such as Devops, Cloud, artificial intelligence (AI) and robotic process automation (RPA) become more pervasive, the world will look to brands who can deliver with accuracy and real-time efficiency. Actually, Version Control is backbone of each technology and my area of research is to improve the version control migration.

Question: Could you mention some research papers published by you?

My research article “A holistic, proactive and novel approach for pre, during and post-migration validation from subversion to git” has been published in CMC kind of good Journal which is focused on migration on the version control system.

We are proud to say that our researchers are enlightening the name of uttarakhand in research & technology in USA.
